Tax Initiatives Defeated!

Americans for Prosperity reported on 11/7 that the majority of tax hike initiatives were defeated at the polls in several states. You can read their news release here.

In states such as New Jersey, North Carolina and Ohio, voting tax payers defeated initiatives which would have raised their taxes. In North Carolina, all 16 initiatives were defeated! "All of these victories are proof positive that mobilizing grassroots taxpayers at a local level makes a big difference, and that's exactly what we plan to continue doing," said Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips. "Taxpayers from coast to coast know that taxes are too high and spending is out-of-control at the local, state and federal levels, and we're going to help them make their voices heard loud and clear."

'The taxpayer: That's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination.' Ronald Reagan
