Local, State and Federal Government

Where did our Founding Fathers come up with the idea of having local, state and federal government? It came from the book of Exodus, chapter 18. Exodus 18:21 and 25 say, "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place them over them, to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens...And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties and rulers of tens."
The rulers of tens and fifties would be our local (city, county) officials. Rulers of hundreds are our state officials, and the rulers of thousands are our federal officials. Look at the caliber of men that should be in these positions according to the Bible. They should be men that fear God, are truthful, and capable to lead. Our Founding Fathers based our form of government on Biblical principles - from the city dog catcher to the President of the United States!
BLESSED IS THE NATION WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD! (Psalm 33:12)
