Did you notice that gas prices have gone down and it's not because Congress has done anything to help? While Congress wrangles over what to do about our energy crisis and who should get the credit for solving the problem, the American consumer has already started to impact gas prices by conserving, car pooling and generally driving fewer miles. I believe gas prices are lower because of the consumer creating less of a demand.
When will Congress take real substantive measures to ease the pain at the pump? We need solutions, not politics. We need short term and long term solutions, not smoke and mirrors and promises that are as empty as our gas tanks. Is it any wonder that the Democratic majority Congress' job approval rating is at an all-time low?
There are some in Congress who are trying to make a difference (see some of my previous posts). We applaud their efforts and thank them for it. Don't get relaxed just because prices have dropped. As JFK said, the time to fix the roof is when the sun is shining! Take action, get involved, contact your Senators and Congressmen and ask that they take action - today.
